Terms and conditions
These terms, together with the signed rental agreement and liability form, govern every Osprey rental.
Payment & cancellations
- Due to the booking rules at local provincial campgrounds, full payment is due upon booking and renting a trailer.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before arrival: full refund minus a C$100 administration fee.
- Cancellation 8–30 days before arrival: 50% refund.
- Cancellation 7 days or fewer before arrival: non-refundable.
- No refunds on early check-out.
Damage deposit
- A C$500 refundable damage deposit is included in the payment.
- The deposit is returned after the trailer is collected and inspected, provided it is clean and undamaged.
Pets
- Small-breed dogs may be allowed inside the trailer, with a C$50 cleaning fee.
- Medium and large-breed dogs are not allowed inside the trailer and must remain outdoors.
- Please tell us about your pets when you book so we can confirm approval before your arrival.
Smoking
- Absolutely no smoking inside the trailer. Do not allow friends or visitors to smoke in the unit — you are responsible for the cleaning charges.
- If there is evidence of smoking in a trailer, a C$400 charge applies.
Cleaning & return condition
- Units must be returned clean and undamaged or charges will apply.
- Please wash and put away all dishes and utensils. Wipe down counters, table tops, sinks, tubs/showers, toilets, and appliances. The inside of ovens, microwaves, toilets, and refrigerators should be wiped clean.
- Sweep the floors and wipe up any spills on carpets or upholstery as best you can.
- A minimum C$100 charge applies for exceptionally unclean units (dirty dishes, sinks, tubs, floors, garbage left, etc.).
- The trailer comes with cleaning supplies, a mop, a broom, and a dustpan.
Trailer use
- Once the trailer is positioned on a site it must stay in that spot until Osprey picks it up. Under no circumstances may you move the unit.
- Our trailers are not available for festival camping. Any festival use without prior permission will result in a forfeited damage deposit.
- Please use only 1-ply toilet paper in the unit.
- Awning use is the sole responsibility of the renter. If you prefer not to be responsible, leave the awning retracted. There is zero tolerance for damaged awnings — repairs are billed to the responsible renter. Awnings are inspected before every delivery.
- If you use the awning: lower one side slightly during heavy rain for drainage, retract it during any windstorm, keep it high enough that the entry door doesn't rub, and never allow children to hang off the awning arms.
Delivery & collection
- Delivery takes place between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.
- Pick-up is at 10:00 a.m. on the morning of departure.
- Delivery charges apply to all rentals and vary by destination (approximately C$200–C$240).
- Private residences require adequate room for delivery and setup; an inspection is required to determine eligibility.
- Osprey does not deliver to Syringa, Davis Creek, or Summit Lake, and does not service the East Shore (Crawford Bay, Riondel, Gray Creek) due to ferry wait times.
- If you are dry camping and need a water refill during your stay, a service fee equal to a delivery charge applies.
Air conditioning
- A/C units that malfunction during a rental will be repaired as quickly as is reasonably possible. Repair technicians are extremely busy in summer and cannot always provide same-day service; refunds or discounts for failed air conditioning are only considered for unusual delays (longer than two days).
- RV air conditioners are not designed for extended continuous use and can ice up if set too cold or run with doors and windows open. Turn the A/C off when leaving the unit for any length of time.
- If icing occurs (little airflow, no cooling), turn the A/C off for a minimum of 2–3 hours to thaw.
Propane & safety
- A minimum C$20 charge for propane applies to all rentals.
- If you smell raw propane, turn off the main propane tank immediately until the source of the leak is found. Stove burners left on are a common cause — do not let small children play with stove knobs.
Service charges (minimums)
- C$50 — lost keys.
- C$400 — evidence of smoking in the trailer.
- C$100 minimum — cleaning charge for exceptionally unclean units.
- C$200 — emptying and cleaning charge for units allowed to overflow into the bathtub and/or sink.
Weekly bookings
- For the 2026 season, July and August rentals run on a first-come, first-served basis — Saturday-to-Saturday scheduling is not required this year.
- Saturday-to-Saturday weekly scheduling is planned to return for the 2027 season.
